Marcela Vanessa then worked as an Assistant in the Academic Registry Office at Keiser University Latin American Campus, overseeing student registration processes and supervising interns.

In 2014, Marcela joined UNDP as an Assistant in the Office of Environment, Energy, and Risk Management. Their duties included providing administrative and financial assistance to national and regional projects, managing procurement processes, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the office.
