Sam Stier

Sam Stier is the Founding Director of The Center for Learning with Nature, a non-profit organization established in January 2013, dedicated to enhancing K-12 education through environmental awareness. Stier serves as faculty in the Sustainability Program at Otis College of Art and Design, co-teaching a course on science and sustainable design. Additionally, Stier is an author for Cognella and W. W. Norton & Company, providing educational resources focused on bioinspired design and engineering. At Texas Tech University, Stier contributes to integrating bio-inspired design curriculum as faculty in the Whitacre College of Engineering. Prior experience includes directing educational programs at the Biomimicry Institute and consulting for the World Bank and the Nature Conservancy. Sam Stier holds a Master of Science in Natural Resource Conservation from the University of Montana and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Brown University.
