Title: Regional Director (Northeast Region)

Position Type: Paid Staff

Location: Remote

Reports to: Outreach Manager

Number of Direct Reports: All chapter chairs in region

Hours: flexible with alternate Tuesdays from 8-10pm est and all Thursdays from 12-3 est for a total of 7.5 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Mentor new chapter chairs within their region on an ongoing basis, using best practices proven for success

• Ensure that all chapters within their region comply with the policies and procedures of the national organization

• Maintain consistency in implementing the organization's mission and goals across the region

• Create and implement strategies to enhance the organization's membership, participation, and visibility in the region

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among State Leads and Chapter Chairs

• Facilitate the New/existing volunteer breakout meetings periodically during Nationwide Calls.

• Meet with the Outreach Manager weekly and report all new interactions and chapter chair onboarding, check database and communicate with database coordinator any volunteers needing to be offboarded.

* Onboards new Chapter Chairs

• Conduct State specific meetings on a monthly basis during the National zoom call.

• Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the region, emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and encouraging collaboration and feedback to determine emerging needs.

• Work with the national organization and other regional directors to achieve the organization's strategic goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a volunteer or professional setting

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals

• Understanding of the organization's mission, goals, and policies

• Familiarity with the culture of their assigned region and the state chapters within it

• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion

Time Commitment

Hours are flexible. Required: alternate Tuesdays from 8-10pm est and every Thursday from 12-3 est for a total of 7.5 hours per week
