Lance Porter

Lance Porter is currently the CEO at Wyoming Medical Center. Lance has extensive experience leading in a wide range of delivery models and is a strategic leader with a growth agenda that balances patient safety, the highest quality care, operational and financial performance. Lance is also a champion of change management finding success through strong physician partnerships, building exceptional leadership teams and community relationships.

Previously, they were the CEO at Banner Payson Medical Center from July 2014 to November 2020. Lance was responsible for 295 employees, $36M operating budget and $25M capital budget. During their time there, they led the hospital through transition from 44 bed for-profit, acute hospital to 25 bed critical access hospital with Banner Health. Lance also improved care by bringing several new services to the community, such as licensed pediatric beds, swing beds, wound clinic, infusion/chemo therapy clinic, pulmonary function testing lab and EKG. In addition, they expanded community reach and expanded market share by 4% through several initiatives: chest pain certification, athletic training program at Payson High School, primary care clinic in secondary service area, specialty physician clinic and total joint center of excellence.

Lance has received numerous awards throughout their career, such as the $150k grant for construction of Women’s & Children’s garden to enhance patient experience. Lance has also achieved an ED patient satisfaction NPS score of 78.2 (the second highest in the Banner system), improved Door to Doc time from 56 minutes to 14 minutes (featured in Modern Healthcare magazine), improved inpatient satisfaction Likelihood to Recommend from 56% to 75%,

Lance Porter holds an MBA from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School with a focus in Healthcare Administration & Operations.
