Derrell James

Derrell James is an accomplished senior executive with extensive leadership experience across multiple industries, including contact lens manufacturing, healthcare, and aerospace. Currently serving as Vice President and General Manager at X-Cel Specialty Contacts and as Vice President on the Board of Directors for GP Lens Institute, Derrell is also President of the Contact Lens Manufacturers Association for 2023-2024. Previous roles include President and CEO at Stradis Healthcare, where significant sales growth was achieved through acquisitions, and various leadership positions at EMS Technologies, Kimberly-Clark/Halyard Health, and Rockwell Collins, where a focus on sales, strategic planning, and operational efficiency was paramount. Derrell holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Technology Management from Mercer University.
