Jan Felix Scholtes

Jan Felix Scholtes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jan Felix currently holds positions at X-Chem, Inc. as a Principal Scientist and Project Chemistry Leader, starting in 2023 and 2021 respectively. Prior to this, they worked at IntelliSyn R&D as a Project Chemistry Leader and Research and Development Scientist from 2021 to 2019. Jan also has experience as a PHD Researcher at LMU - Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2015 to 2019, where their research focused on the synthesis of stereodynamic phosphorus ligands and small amino acid derivatives, as well as structure elucidation and investigation of chiral interactions. Additionally, they worked as a Tutor in physical chemistry exercise classes at Heidelberg University from 2012 to 2014 and served as a Civil Servant at Offene Schule Waldau from 2008 to 2009.

Jan Felix Scholtes completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Heidelberg University from 2009 to 2012. Jan Felix then pursued a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry at the same university, graduating in 2014. In 2013 to 2014, they participated in an Erasmus exchange program as a Chemistry student at the University of York. Finally, from 2015 to 2019, Scholtes attended Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München where they obtained a Doctor of Natural Sciences degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in Organic Chemistry.
