Martin Olbrot has a strong background in scientific research and drug discovery. Martin started their career at GSK as a Scientist in Lead Discovery, where they conducted DEL selections and developed biochemical activity assays. After four years, they joined Pfizer as a Scientist for a brief period before moving on to Novartis, where they worked as a Scientist. In 2013, they joined FORMA Therapeutics, Inc. as a Scientist, focusing on assay design for HTS and H2L for various targets. Martin also played a key role in implementing DNA Encoded Library Technology at the company. In 2020, Martin joined Valo as a Scientist II in the DEL Selections group. Martin was responsible for utilizing ML and other screening approaches to identify chemical leads for drug discovery. Their most recent role was as the Director of Platform Innovation at Totus Medicines, where they led the development and implementation of innovative platforms. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of Business Development at X-Chem, Inc.
Martin Olbrot earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tufts University between 1995 and 1999. Later, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Medical Science at the Boston University School of Medicine.
