Trevor Kuhlengel has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. In 2012, they worked as a Research Technician at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where they conducted medical image analysis on micro CT images of zebrafish and investigator-initiated clinical research. In 2014, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Penn State University, where they taught multiple weekly hands-on lab sections in programming fundamentals. Trevor also designed and implemented grading rubrics for group projects and assignments, as well as collaborated with the lead professor to support curriculum development. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University, where they developed a new video collection protocol in collaboration with the PSU College of Medicine, which reduced the travel and personnel required to collect new case data. Trevor was also the primary manager of a 550,000+ line C++ research codebase, responsible for migrating to newer Qt, ITK, VTK, and OpenCV libraries when necessary. Since 2022, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at X-Nav Technologies, LLC.
Trevor Kuhlengel earned a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Lehigh University in 2012. Trevor then went on to earn a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University in 2017. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University in 2021.
