Rainer Hoevel

Rainer Hoevel has a diverse background in various roles related to operations, engineering, and management. Rainer is currently serving as the Director of Operations at X-Rite since October 2019. Previously, they worked at X-Rite from 2006 to 2019, serving as the Manager of the Global Standards Lab and Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Integration, and Quality. Rainer also held the position of Projekt Manager for New Product Integration, where they were responsible for introducing new products into production, designing material and workflow, and overseeing cost control and supplier qualification. Before joining X-Rite, Rainer worked as the Manager of Material Technology at Avalon Photonics from 2000 to 2006. Prior to that, they gained experience as an R&D Engineer at CSEM and a Product Manager at AIXTRON AG. Rainer started their career as an Assistant at the Institute for Hableitertechnik, RWTH Aachen in 1991.

Rainer Hoevel completed an EMBA degree from Fernfachhochschule Schweiz between 2007 and 2009. Rainer also obtained a Dr. degree in Physics from RWTH Aachen University, between 1984 and 1996.
