Anand Saxena

Anand Saxena has a comprehensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Anand started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, where they assisted students with assigned problems and graded homework. Anand also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, designing and fabricating brushless DC motor-driven trailing edge flap systems and composite active rotor blades.

Anand then joined Makani, a clean energy company, as a Mechanical Engineer. Here, they contributed to the development of energy kites, a new type of wind turbine. Anand later took on the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they played a key role in making clean energy more accessible.

After their time at Makani, Anand joined Google as a Mechanical Engineer. Currently, they are employed at X, the moonshot factory, where they hold the position of Staff Mechanical Engineer. Anand's expertise and experience in mechanical engineering make him a valuable asset to their employers.

Anand Saxena obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College in 2007. Anand then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in the same field at the University of Maryland from 2007 to 2010. Finally, Anand Saxena completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at the University of Maryland from 2010 to 2015.
