Victor Minden

Victor Minden has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles. Victor is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at X, the moonshot factory since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Cerebras Systems from February 2021 to January 2023, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer + Tech Lead Manager / Senior Member of Technical Staff. In this role, they were responsible for automatic code generation and compiling machine learning models. Victor also led a weekly forum to improve software architecture and development processes across the company.

Before joining Cerebras Systems, Victor worked at PathAI as a Senior Algorithms Scientist from October 2019 to January 2021. Their responsibilities included developing image processing algorithms for computational pathology and leading the imaging research software team. Victor also worked at Google as a Software Engineer from September 2018 to September 2019, where they focused on data analytics, forecasting models, and anomaly-detection schemes.

Prior to their industry experience, Victor held research and internship positions at various organizations, including the Simons Foundation as a Flatiron Institute Postdoctoral Research Fellow, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a Summer Researcher, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as an Intern, Tufts University as a Teaching Assistant/Grader/Tutor, the United States Department of Defense as an Intern, and the Argonne National Laboratory as a Research Aide.

Victor Minden earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Tufts University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Victor then went on to pursue higher education at Stanford University, where they obtained both a Master of Science (MS) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computational and Mathematical Engineering (CME). Their studies at Stanford University spanned from 2012 to 2017.
