Steven Tipton

Steven Tipton has a strong background in finance and business management. Steven started their career as an Accounting Assistant at the American Foreign Service Association in 2003 and was later promoted to Controller. During their time there, they were responsible for the administration of various financial activities and had financial assets totaling $7 million.

In 2006, Tipton joined Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Cost Plus Revenue Recognition Professional, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and accounting standards. Steven was later promoted to Financial Analyst, where they administered the Earned Value Management System for a large cost-type program.

In 2009, Tipton joined Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. as a Program Planning and Control Manager. In this role, they managed the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for a $150M per year portfolio of contracts. Steven also provided strategic and financial recommendations to project and program managers.

Most recently, Tipton has been working at X3M Systems / NASA as the Exploration & In-space Services Projects Division Strategy, Planning, and Agreements Lead. Steven supports the development of the division's vision and mission statements, and has been involved in the division's recent structural reorganization and rebranding.

Steven Tipton holds a Master's degree in Information Technology with a Systems Engineering focus from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained from 2020 to 2023. Prior to this, they completed a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the same institution between 2005 and 2009. Mr. Tipton also received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2001 to 2005. Before their time at the University of Maryland, Steven Tipton earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminalistics and Criminal Science from the University of South Alabama, which they attended from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from the University of South Alabama, although the specific years of study for this degree were not provided.
