Ed Szczesny

Ed Szczesny has a strong background in quality assurance and operations, with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Ed currently holds the position of Director, GMP Quality at X4 Pharmaceuticals since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as Director, QA Operations at Akebia Therapeutics from May 2020 to April 2022. From 2015 to 2020, they held the role of Sr. Quality Specialist II at Rhodes Pharmaceuticals, and from 2011 to 2015, they served as Sr. Quality Specialist I in the same company. In addition, Ed has experience as a Substitute Science and Math Teacher at Groton Public Schools for a short period in 2010. Ed also worked as a Strategic Consultant at an Instrument Manufacturer from August 2010 to December 2010. Ed's extensive career in the pharmaceutical industry started at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where they worked as a Principal Scientist from May 1992 to August 2010. In this role, they were responsible for the quality and safety of laboratory data, ensuring regulatory compliance in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment.

Ed Szczesny has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Stonehill College, which they obtained from 1983 to 1987. Ed also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
