Herman Yau

Herman Yau has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2001. Herman began their career at Oracle as a Senior Application Engineer. In 2003, they took on the role of Production Manager - East Asia at Cru, where they were responsible for the complete life-cycle of language products from partnership building to post-production. In 2008, they co-founded and served as CEO of Tend, a vertically integrated IoT company specializing in imaging and computer vision technology. In 2018, they joined Chamberlain Group (CGI) as General Manager of Residential Emerging Business. Most recently, in 2021, they began their role as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Xailient Inc, a company that brings deep learning AI to existing camera products.

Herman Yau received a Masters in Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University in 1999, and a B.A in Computer Science from Cornell University between 1995 and 1999.
