Fábio P.

Fábio P. has a strong background in product security and penetration testing. Fábio currently holds the position of Head of Product Security at Xapo Bank since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Product Security Lead at Xapo Bank from February 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining Xapo Bank, Fábio held various positions in the cybersecurity field. Fábio worked as a Lead Core Penetration Tester at Cobalt.io from October 2019 to March 2021, where they performed remote assessments for clients. At News UK, they served as a Senior Manager of Product Security and Principal Application Security Engineer, both in 2020. Fábio was also the Lead Application Security Engineer at WorldRemit from 2018 to 2019 and a Penetration Tester/Bug Bounty Hunter at Synack Red Team from 2017 to 2019.

Fábio began their career as a Security Consultant at NCC Group in 2017 after working as a Penetration Tester at INTEGRITY S.A. from 2014 to 2016. Fábio started their professional journey as a Penetration Tester and Tech Support at Hardsecure, Segurança em Redes e Sistemas de Informação from 2013 to 2014.

Fábio P. attended the Polytechnic of Leiria from 2010 to 2016, where they obtained a degree in Informatics Engineering with a focus on Computer Science. In addition to their degree, Fábio P. has obtained various certifications in areas such as blockchain security, cloud computing, web security, penetration testing, and network security from institutions such as the Blockchain Training Alliance, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Offensive Security, CREST, eLearnSecurity, Coursera, Kaspersky Lab, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco.
