Emily Smith

Emily Smith has extensive experience in strategic leadership and business operations, currently serving as Sr. Director of Strategy, Governance & Business Operations at Xcel Energy since January 2012. Previously, Emily held multiple roles at Xcel Energy, including Director of Planning & Performance for Customer Solutions & Innovation and various positions in corporate finance and revenue requirements. Prior experience includes a role as Portfolio Manager at Park National Bank and Consultant at Sherman Associates. Emily’s career began as a Commercial Real Estate Lender at U.S. Bank. Academically, Emily holds a Master of Science in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and a Doctor of Law from UW-Madison, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and French from St. Olaf College.
