Chris James

Chris James has extensive experience in product management and engineering within the drilling sector, currently serving as the Director of Product Management at Xecta since February 2020. Previously, Chris held roles such as Product Manager and Senior Drilling Engineer at Oxy and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, with a focus on real-time drilling and drilling research and development. Early career experience includes positions at Moblize, Marathon Oil Corporation, and Total Energy Services, where Chris contributed to managed pressure drilling operations, drilling optimization, and technical sales. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College and a Certificate of Excellence in Technology Strategy from the University of California, Berkeley.
