Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions for educational technologies. Since July 2010, Chris has worked at SMART Technologies, initially as a Firmware Engineer and currently as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices. Prior to this role, Chris served as an Electronics Contractor at the Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary. Early in Chris's career, work as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom involved developing control systems for forestry harvester units, encompassing circuit design, PCB layout, and software development. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
