Peter Cook

Peter Cook is an experienced technology professional with a career spanning over two decades in software development and engineering leadership. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer and Acting Head of Engineering at Xero, Peter has held multiple roles including Development Manager, Development Team Lead, and Senior Developer since November 2014. Prior experience includes positions at Superpartners as a Senior .NET Analyst Programmer, as well as serving as Director at Tuscan Blue Development Solutions and freelance software consultant for United Healthcare, where key contributions included integrating cost-saving features into clinical systems. Peter’s extensive background also includes senior development roles at Barclays Bank, where a significant incentives calculation engine was maintained and further developed, and various consultancy positions across financial services and telecommunications. Peter holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham.
