Anthony Mucia

Anthony Mucia is a highly skilled Senior Remote Sensing Engineer with extensive experience in remote sensing and land data assimilation systems. Currently employed at xFarm Technologies since September 2024 and having previously held the same position at SpaceSense until September 2024, Anthony contributed to the advancement of the 'LDAS-Monde' Land Data Assimilation System during a PhD research role at METEO FRANCE from November 2018 to November 2021. Notable achievements include studying and predicting land surface variables and agricultural drought in the U.S., linking leaf area index anomalies to crop yields in Nebraska, and integrating vegetation optical depth observations. Anthony’s academic background encompasses a Doctorate from Toulouse INP, a Master's in Natural Resources Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Bachelor's in Meteorology-Climatology from the same institution.
