Philip Ekberg

Philip Ekberg currently serves as the Head of Flight Operations at Xfly since November 2022. Previously, Philip held various roles at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as a Project Consultant from September 2019 to March 2023. Prior to that, Philip spent 18 years at Emirates Airline, where significant positions included Captain of the Airbus A380 and A330/340, Flight Safety Manager, and Flight Operations Risk Manager. Philip also has ten years of experience as Chief Pilot for Malmö Aviation, managing 100 pilots on the BAe-146/AVRO RJ. Philip's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and additional training in aircraft accident investigation from Cranfield University.
