John Leggat

John Leggat is the Financial Controller at Xiber. Prior to this, they were the Controller/SVP of Finance at Ideal Living from October 2017 to December 2018. There, they provided executive financial leadership to a vertically integrated multi-channel marketer of consumer products specializing in DRTV, internet and retail sales. John was responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, and cash flow management of 20 separate LLC entities rolling up to parent ownership and reported directly to owners.

Leggat established a detailed monthly close process for all entities, including direct response sales through merchant processors, retail operations, and management company. John also developed a monthly reporting package for owners and executive team. In addition, they maintained bank reporting including weekly borrowing base and monthly covenants for line of credit as well as developing a comprehensive cash flow management system to minimize use of credit line. As the Controller/SVP of Finance, some of their other duties included creating product line reporting for major new release to analyze overall development of profitability, establishing royalty calculation process for multiple products to determine and pay infomercial participants, financial management of inventory (including partial manufacturing) and accounts receivable (including reserve estimates), managing annual CPA review and semi-annual bank audits, and working with outside sales tax accountants for multi-state payment. John also created a monthly forecasting report as well as annual budgeting with senior management.

John Leggat has a Master in Business Administration from the UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara. John is also certified as a CPA.
