Brad Thomas

Brad Thomas is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in systems, mechanical, and optical engineering. Currently serving as an Engineering Fellow at Xilis since July 2021, Thomas has contributed to the development of innovative instruments for drug development, leading to multiple patent issuances. Previous roles include Independent Consultant at Doctus Engineering and Engineering Fellow at Cree Lighting, where Thomas was instrumental in integrating Systems Engineering into the new product development process. With a strong leadership background, Thomas has held positions such as Chief Mechanical Engineer at Asensus Surgical and Director of Systems Engineering at QIAGEN, managing teams and overseeing the development of advanced medical devices. Educational credentials include a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland.
