Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions at SMART Technologies since July 2010. Currently focused on hardware development for DViT (Digital Vision Touch) interactive whiteboards and educational devices, Chris previously contributed as a firmware engineer, creating firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Prior to SMART Technologies, Chris worked as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, aiding student labs and assessments. Earlier experience includes developing control systems for the forestry industry as an electronics engineer at Grindcom. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
