Fabian Berger

Principal Computational Chemist at xolo

Fabian Berger is currently serving as a Feodor Lynen & Isaac Newton Trust EC Fellow (Postdoc) and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge since April 2023. Throughout a distinguished career, Fabian has held the position of Principal Computational Chemist at xolo, focusing on the development of dual-color photoinitiators for xolography and advancing digital chemistry capabilities since April 2022. At Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where Fabian began as a Research Associate in September 2017 and has progressed to Scientific Consultant, research has centered on theoretical and computational chemistry involving mixed metal oxide clusters and hydrocarbon reactions in zeolites. Previous experience includes an internship at BASF, where quantum mechanic descriptors were identified for alkoxy polymers, and a visiting researcher role at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München, examining DNA repair mechanisms. Fabian holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Chemistry, a Master of Science, and a Bachelor of Science, all from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
