Mikko Teerenhovi

CEO at Xolo

Mikko Teerenhovi has extensive work experience in the design and product space. Mikko began their career in 1999 as a Graphic Designer for Helsinki 2000 European Capital of Culture. In 2001, they took a role as a Designer for Teerenhovi. In 2007, they became the CEO, Architect, and Co-Founder of Public Side Oy, a boutique consulting firm focused on urban development. Mikko was responsible for developing a new digital system, Raksa. In 2011, they joined Holvi as the VP of Product & Design and Co-Founder. There, they built the product from 0 to 1 and adjusted the product strategy for scale in the different phases of the company. Mikko also recruited world-class teams of product managers, designers and business analysts, and scaled the company from 4 to 150+ employees. In 2019, they took on the role of Chief Product Officer at Xolo. Mikko sold Holvi to BBVA Bank to become their digital arm for SMB Banking in Europe.

Mikko Teerenhovi attended Aalto University from 2004 to 2010 and obtained an M.Sc. in Architecture. Mikko also attended Helsingin Suomalainen Yhteiskoulu from 1986 to 1996 and obtained a Matriculation examination.
