Alex Shand

Alex Shand is a Senior Software Engineer at Xpansiv since May 2023, where responsibilities include developing an end-to-end Kafka messaging system and implementing OpenAPI V3 REST server and client code generation. Previously, Alex worked at Carta from February 2020 to May 2023, focusing on creating responsive UIs for financial trading platforms and enhancing platform efficiency. Prior to that, Alex held a similar role at MarketGrid Systems Pty Limited for a brief period before the company's acquisition by Carta. From March 2017 to June 2019, Alex was self-employed as a Software Engineer and Financial Assets Trader, developing automated trading systems and interacting with financial markets via REST and WebSocket APIs. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Computer Science from La Trobe University and a Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology from CQUniversity.
