Gavin McColl

Gavin McColl has extensive work experience in the field of digital marketing and has held various roles in different companies. Gavin started their career as an intern at Loyalty Media in 2012. Gavin then worked as a writer for Warhol's Children, Gigs and Festivals Dot Com, and Weekend Notes, where they provided online content and wrote articles. In 2013, they became an SEO Specialist at Harvey Norman, responsible for producing SEO content and launching brand landing pages. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Officeworks as an eCommerce Coordinator and SEO Content Manager, where they implemented site-wide improvements and managed SEO strategies. In 2016, they joined iProspect as an SEO Account Manager and was accountable for client management and communication. In 2017, they moved to OMD Australia as an Experience Director & National eCommerce Lead, responsible for developing relationships and integrating SEO with marketing strategies. In 2021, they joined Resolution Digital as the Head of Experience & eCommerce and later became the eCommerce Director at XPO: The Mars Agency.

Gavin McColl obtained a Bachelor's degree in Creative Industries from Edinburgh Napier University from 2006 to 2011. Gavin also earned a BA (Hons) Creative Industries degree with a focus on Journalism, Media, Advertising, and PR during the same period. In 2005, they began studying Creative Industries, specifically Journalism, at Edinburgh Napier University. Additionally, Gavin has obtained several certifications, including Amazon Ads Advanced Retail Certification and Amazon Ads Retail Certification from Amazon in 2023. Gavin also holds certifications from Google, including Google Adwords Certification and Google Analytics Individual Qualification, achieved in 2017. Furthermore, Gavin completed a Mini MBA in Marketing from Marketing Week Mini MBA with Mark Ritson in 2019 and a Squared Online certification in the same year. Lastly, they obtained a Mental Health First Aider certification from Mental Health First Aid Australia in March 2020.
