Tom Plasterer

Tom Plasterer is a seasoned professional in data strategy and bioinformatics, currently serving as the Managing Director of Life Sciences Innovation at XponentL Data since June 2024, where leadership focuses on FAIR Data and Knowledge Graph engineering. Prior experience at AstraZeneca spanned several pivotal roles from December 2018 to June 2024, including Data Strategy Lead for Oncology Translational Medicine and Director of Bioinformatics, Data Science & AI. Tom has also contributed significantly to research and development in various organizations, such as Open PHACTS and BG Medicine, and has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University. Tom holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Boston University School of Medicine and has a strong background in integrating data and driving innovation in healthcare through advanced informatics and data-centric strategies.
