Jon Marchant

Jon Marchant has over 30 years of experience in various senior management roles in the IT sector. Jon is currently working as the Chief Information Officer at XPS Pensions Group since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked for a decade at PayPoint plc as the Chief Information Officer. Jon also served as the Director of Change Management and IS Director of Operations at CO-OP Financial Services. Before that, they held the position of Head of IT Management Services at Capital One and Scottish Widows Bank. Jon started their career at Halifax plc (HBOS) as a Senior Programme Manager. Throughout their career, they have successfully managed IT operations, infrastructure, information security, risk management, and large-scale IT projects. Jon has extensive experience in leading teams and delivering innovative solutions in the financial services industry.

Jon Marchant attended Durham Johnston Comprehensive School from 1981 to 1986. Jon then went on to study at Nottingham University from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree. After that, they pursued further education at the Chartered Institute of Bankers from 1991 to 1994 and earned an ACIB degree.
