George Hawkins

George Hawkins is the Founder and Executive Director of Moonshot Missions, focusing on the critical issues facing the water industry due to outdated infrastructure. As the Founder and President of Moonshot LLC, George experienced significant industry challenges firsthand during a water main break while serving as General Manager of the DC Water and Sewer Authority. George's expertise is further demonstrated through roles as a Strategic Advisor at Xylem Inc., Executive in Residence at XPV Water Partners, and various board positions including the North American Electric Reliability Corporation and Quantified Ventures. Additionally, George contributes to academia as a Professor at Princeton University, teaching Environmental Law and Policy, and has held board memberships with organizations such as the National Infrastructure Advisory Council and US Water Alliance. George holds a J.D., cum laude from Harvard Law School and an A.B., summa cum laude in History from Princeton University, specializing in Soviet Economics.
