Matt Bohlin has had a diverse work experience. Matt began their career in the military, serving as an S-3 Naval Flight Officer and teaching graduate-level tactics courses for S-3 squadrons and Viking Tactics Instructors. Matt later worked with the Multifunctional Information Distribution System Program Office, where they served as an Integrated Product Team Lead and worked on integrating the advanced airborne networking waveform onto the MIDS JTRS terminal. Matt also worked as a Counter Radio Controlled IED Electronic Warfare Technical Officer, managing all Counter Radio Controlled IED Electronic Warfare systems in theater for the United States Marine Corps in support of Iraqi Freedom. After leaving the military, Bohlin worked at the Navy Communications Satellite Program Office, where they served as a Principal Assistant Program Manager and was responsible for the development, production, delivery, test, and delivery of five MUOS communication satellites along with the associated ground systems, satellite control systems, and networking and WCDMA waveform. Matt also worked at the Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Program Office, NAVAIR, as an Assistant Program Manager, Systems Engineering. At Northrop Grumman, they served as the Mission Systems Production Manager for Triton UAS, where they were in charge of budget, schedule, risk, engineering personnel, and subcontractors in the acquisition, production, test, and delivery of sensor payloads and communications subsystems for the Triton UAS. At XSITE LLC, they worked as a Staff Systems Engineer, providing systems engineering services and technical management expertise to the Space Force Narrowband Satellite Communications Program Office and contributing in the areas of technical planning and systems engineering for the acquisition of additional MUOS satellites, as well as enhancing system engineering processes within the organization. Most recently, Bohlin has worked at LinQuest as a Corporate System Engineer.
Matt Bohlin received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 1993. In 2005, they obtained their Master of Science in Systems Architecture and Engineering from the University of Southern California. Additionally, they obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2014. Matt also has certifications as an Acquisition Corps Member, DAWIA Program Management Level III, and DAWIA Systems Planning, Research, Development & Engineering Level III, but the institutions and specific dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
