With XTPL since September 2016, currently holding the position of leader of numerical simulations laboratory. He is responsible for overseeing numerical simulations of XTPL processes and advanced analysis of test data. In 2011‒2015 he took a prestigious PhD scholarship as part of the EU’s Marie Curie ITN (PROPHET project) at the University of Pavia, Italy, where he defended his doctoral thesis on the simulation of optical and electrical phenomena in solar cells with disordered photonic structures. He was research scientist at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, and at STMicroelectronics, Catania, Italy. He presented his research findings at multiple international conferences in Europe and the US. He completed a number of specialized training courses on photonics, optoelectronics and materials engineering in Germany, UK, France and Italy. He co-authored several frequently cited papers in the field physics, optics and numerical simulations. Author of reviews for several publications contributed to Optics Letters, Optics Express journals as well as R&D Magazine.
