Qiming Bao

Qiming (Bill) Bao is currently an AI Researcher and Engineer at Xtracta, focusing on multi-lingual fine-tuning of document models. As a PhD student at The University of Auckland, Qiming engages in research under the supervision of Prof. Michael Witbrock, while also serving as a mentor and a graduate teaching assistant in various computer science courses. Previous experiences include roles as a research and development engineer at the Advanced Institute of Information Technology, a summer research intern at Orion Health, and an invited speaker at notable institutions like Microsoft and Samsung. Qiming holds multiple degrees in computer science and intellectual property law from various universities, with a PhD expected to be completed in March 2024.
