Thomas Jeffries is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the President of Xylome Corporation. Thomas has extensive experience in microbial biotechnology, particularly in developing non-conventional yeast strains for fermentation processes. Thomas also served as the Past President for the Society for Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology. Prior to their current roles, Thomas worked as a USDA Professor/ Scientist and held positions at Columbia University and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Thomas holds a PhD in Microbial Biochemistry from Rutgers University.
