Ondřej began his Y Soft career as the General Manager of Research and Development where he built a team of architects, developers and engineers while defining the R&D strategy and developing Y Soft’s software and hardware architecture. Responsible for the software architecture and software engineering, Ondrej also spent 11 years perfecting the HW products. In 2013, Ondřej moved into the Chief Research Officer role and, and later served as Chief Technology Officer responsible for Y Soft R&D operations, products and underlying technology.
Passionate about technology and start-ups, Ondřej provides mentoring for Y Soft Ventures portfolio companies and is active in the startup community in general, such as through StartupYard. Ondřej has never fully left the academic world, building the Y Soft Applied Research and University Relations initiative, being guest lecturer at several Czech universities and teaching Software Engineering and Software Quality Management at Masaryk University in Brno. Ondřej is also on the board of directors for AmCham (American Chamber of Commerce, Czech Republic) and has worked closely with the organization for several years. Ondřej started his professional career at Masaryk University in Brno acting as Developer, Chief Developer, Analyst, Tutor and Lecturer at the University for many years before transitioning to Y Soft in early 2007. He also earned his Mgr. and RNDr. (MSc. equivalent) degrees in applied Computer Science there.
