Rob Chandanais

Rob Chandanais has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering and web development industries. Rob began their career in 1999 as a Web Designer and Web Marketing Strategist at Communication Logistics, Inc. In 2002, they moved to Sonic Foundry Inc. as a Web Developer, where they designed and implemented customized UI for media-related web applications and developed the Presenter Console application and designed the Clean player layout for Mediasite Live 3.0. In 2005, they joined Sony Creative Software as a Web Developer, designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining features for acidplanet.com. In 2007, they returned to Sonic Foundry Inc. as a Software Development Lead, designing and implementing a responsive, multi-video player with a novel content layout engine. Rob then served as a Software Engineering Manager, leading a hybrid team responsible for building and maintaining many of the user-facing parts of the Mediasite Video Platform, including Player, My Mediasite, Editor, Channels, and Showcase. Rob guided the team through the transition to scrum methodology, serving as scrum master for six months. In 2023, they joined Yahara Software as a Technical Lead.

Rob Chandanais earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point between 1995 and 1999.
