Hans Knapp

Hans co-founded Yaletown in 2001 and has over 20 years of experience in Canadian venture and private equity investing. He manages Yaletown’s emerging growth investments in, and serves on the Boards of Circle Cardiovascular Imaging and ePACT Network.

As Yaletown’s General Counsel, Hans also manages all investments and realization transactions. Currently the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Venture Capital Association, he has been a member of the CVCA’s Executive Committee since 2018.

Before co-founding Yaletown, Hans was VP, Investments and Corporate Counsel for Brigill Investments, where he managed a portfolio of early and emerging growth public and private tech company investments, with a realized gross multiple exceeding 3x. Prior to that, he practised commercial litigation with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP after being admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1996.​
