Rohan Malhotra

Rohan Malhotra has extensive experience in the film industry, primarily in the field of theatrical distribution. Rohan started their career as an intern in film distribution and exhibition at R.R. Films in 2006. The following year, they worked as an intern at Yash Raj Film Distributors. In 2007, Rohan joined Yash Raj Films as the Head of Operations for Mumbai distribution, handling the theatrical distribution of feature films in Mumbai Circuit and other regions. Rohan played a key role in the distribution of films by renowned filmmakers such as Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, Rakesh Roshan, and Shah Rukh Khan. Over the years, Rohan progressed to the positions of General Manager, Associate Vice President, and eventually Vice President of Distribution at Yash Raj Films. In these roles, they were responsible for nationwide theatrical distribution, positioning films, and making strategic release decisions based on market knowledge and audience targeting. Their most recent role at Yash Raj Films was as Vice President of Distribution, which they held until at least April 2017.

Rohan Malhotra completed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from St. Theresa High School in Bandra, from 1992 to 2002. Rohan then pursued a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Commerce from Smt. M.M.K College of Commerce & Economics in Bandra, from 2002 to 2004. Rohan further continued their education at Smt. M.M.K College of Commerce & Economics, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, Finance, from 2004 to 2007. In addition, they obtained a certification in Financial Markets: A Beginner's Module from NCFM- NSE's Certification in Financial Markets in 2007.
