Sameer Y. Shagdar

Sameer Y. Shagdar has extensive experience in engineering and operations management within the refining sector, notably at Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) Ltd. since August 2006. As Deputy-VP of Engineering, Sameer leads strategic initiatives focusing on engineering department restructuring and enhancing employee competencies. Previously, roles included Operations Manager and Operations Area Manager for both Gasoline and Diesel complexes, where Sameer achieved significant improvements in refinery stability and profitability. Prior to YASREF, Sameer worked with Saudi Aramco from 1988 to 2006, contributing to operations and engineering across multiple units after completing a Professional Development Program. Sameer holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from King Abdulaziz University.
