Richard Powell

Richard Powell has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Richard is currently working as a Supply Chain Lead at Yassir since November 2022. Prior to that, Richard gained significant experience at Unilever where they held multiple roles, including Business Development Manager Africa, Information and Analytics Lead - Customer Development, National Key Account Manager, Key Account Manager (Personal Care), Supply Chain Project - Collaborative Forecasting, and Supply Chain Consultant. In their role as a Supply Chain Consultant, they served as a Customer Service Excellence consultant, managing end-to-end supply chain opportunities and implementing global best practices for Unilever's Drug Channel customers. Before joining Unilever, Richard served as the Managing Director of Street Scene Tours from February 2010 to June 2014, where they offered unique experiences and trips around Durban and KwaZulu Natal, focusing on community development and cultural exploration.

Richard Powell completed a Certificate in Finance & Accounting at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2013. Richard then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at MANCOSA from 2014 to 2016. In 2017 and 2018, Richard attended The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants to earn a CIMA degree in Accounting and Business/Management.
