Chris Burkett, MSW, SWLC, currently serves as an Outpatient Therapist at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch since May 2020, following a brief tenure as Program Specialist 1 at IlliniCare Health. Burkett has focused on hospice social work and gained diverse experience through various roles including Adoption Support and Preservation Therapist Intern at Metropolitan Family Services, Safe Home Advocate Intern at Family Shelter Service, and Data Management Assistant at the Center for Governmental Studies. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Child and Family from the University of Illinois Chicago and a bachelor's degree in Family and Individual Development from Northern Illinois University. Burkett has also contributed to research in reading motivation and behavioral studies involving adolescents with Autism, and has worked in educational settings as a Student Teacher.
