James Law has worked in various roles since 2013. James began their career as a Primary English Tutor at NumberWorks'nWords, where they managed rooms of up to 4 primary school students, teaching reading, writing, spelling and grammar. James then moved on to become a HSC Tutor at Smart Moves Coaching Australia, where they taught HSC English (Standard and Advanced), Modern History, Legal Studies and Drama, as well as English, Modern History, Essay Writing and Study Skills between Grade 7 and 11. In 2014, James took on the role of Supervisor at Narrabeen RSL and Public Relations at Safesite. James then moved on to the BBC Studios Ltd in 2016, where they held the roles of Programming Assistant, Programmer for BBC First, and Next Generation Board Member. In 2021, they began their current role as Content Strategist at Year13, where they are responsible for the strategic direction and production of written content, including editorials, social assets, master copy, e-learning modules (Academy) and any other content required to support Year13's suite of digital products and offerings.
James Law has a Bachelor of Media (PR and Advertising) from UNSW, which they obtained between 2013 and 2015. In 2021, they completed a Certificate II in Auslan from TAFE NSW and a Podcasting Fundamentals course from the Australian Film Television and Radio School. James is currently enrolled in a Certificate III in Auslan at TAFE NSW. In addition, James Law has obtained several certifications, including Agile Scrum Master Training Course (SAFe®) from Centre for Continuing Education in February 2022, Photoshop Lite from City Desktop Training in September 2017, NSW Working with Children Check from NSW Commission for Children & Young People in March 2013, and Responsible Service of Alcohol from Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation in January 2013.
