Melis Erel Onay

Melis Erel Onay has extensive work experience in the field of category management and marketing. Melis is currently working as a Commercial Director at Yemeksepeti since July 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Category Management at Yemeksepeti from January 2022 to June 2023. Before joining Yemeksepeti, Melis worked as a Category Management & Marketing Director at RoFOODS from February 2019 to March 2021. Melis also served as a Business Development Manager at Atelier Rebul Turkiye from October 2017 to March 2018. Melis started their career at METRO/MAKRO Cash and Carry in 2002, where they held various roles including Own Brand Manager (Private Label) from July 2009 to March 2017. Melis also worked as an Own Brand Coordinator (Private Label), Assistant Category Manager, and Category Specialist during their tenure at METRO/MAKRO Cash and Carry.

Melis Erel Onay completed the Business Programme in Metro Management Academy at Boğaziçi University from 2005 to 2006. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2002, they attended Istanbul Technical University where they studied Food Engineering. Before their university studies, they attended Kabataş Erkek Lisesi from 1994 to 1997.
