Maarten Baeten

Maarten Baeten is a model risk expert currently working in the Customer Success Team and serving as a product owner at Yields since October 2021. Previously, Maarten was employed at Argenta from February 2016 to October 2021, where Maarten held the positions of Lead Model Validation, focusing on developing a sustainable model risk management framework, and Senior Validator, providing independent advisory support to senior management and regulatory bodies regarding credit risk models. Maarten's academic background includes a postdoctoral researcher role at the University of Antwerp from October 2011 to January 2016, conducting research on strong light-matter coupling in microcavities, and completing a PhD in Physics with a thesis on microcavity polaritons. Maarten also holds a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Antwerp.
