Carolyn van Geest

Carolyn van Geest is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in financial management and reporting. Currently serving as Senior Accounting Manager at The Y in Central Maryland since April 2017, Carolyn supervises a team of Financial Reporting Associates, collaborates on cross-departmental initiatives, and successfully handles federal indirect cost rate agreement applications. Previously, Carolyn held roles including Accounting Manager and Senior Grants Accountant, managing various grant programs and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Prior experience includes positions at EY as an Assurance Senior and Assurance Staff, focusing on financial statement audits for both public and private entities. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Loyola University Maryland and has also completed a program at the University of International Business and Economics.
