Megan Spencer

Megan Spencer SPHR has a diverse and extensive work experience. Megan currently holds the position of Vice President Human Resources at The Y in Central Maryland, starting in January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Balance Point Wellness, LLC, starting in August 2020. Megan has also worked at The Y in Central Maryland in various roles, including HR Director from October 2018 to August 2020, HR Manager, Health and Wellness from June 2016 to August 2020, and HR and Training Manager from March 2015 to August 2020. Before joining The Y in Central Maryland, Megan worked at Y of Central Maryland as a Training Specialist from March 2013 to August 2020 and as a Program Director from January 2007 to March 2013. Megan'swork experience began as a Recreational Therapist at Mountain Manor Treatment Ctr from January 2006 to January 2007.

Megan Spencer SPHR holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Walden University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Megan also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Parks and Recreation Management from Frostburg State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition, Megan Spencer is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law degree from Purdue Global, starting in 2023. Moreover, they have obtained the SPHR certification from HRCI in 2018.
