Claudia Mendoza has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent role is as the CHRO & VP of Human Resources at the YMCA of Greater Long Beach since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Human Resources at Overland, Pacific, & Cutler, LLC, (OPC) from 2018 to 2022. From 2015 to 2018, Claudia held the position of Executive Vice President, Human Resources & Operations at SoftScript. Claudia also worked as the Director of Human Assets at arc: After School & Experiential Education from 2014 to 2015. Claudia's earlier experiences include being a Human Resources Manager at the Los Angeles Police Revolver & Athletic Club from 2009 to 2014 and a Human Resources Director at City Year Los Angeles in 2009. Claudia also served as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at Claremont University Consortium from 2006 to 2009 and a Human Resources Generalist at King's Seafood Company from 2004 to 2006. Claudia began their career at Rely Staff as a Branch Manager from 2003 to 2004 and as an Office Supervisor/Recruiter at Adecco Group from 2001 to 2003.

Claudia Mendoza has a diverse education history spanning over several years. From 1997 to 2001, they attended Scripps College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English & American Studies. Following a break in their formal education, they enrolled in Chapman University from 2006 to 2008 and completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Human Resources Management. Currently, in 2022, Claudia is pursuing additional education at Leadership Long Beach, where they will graduate in 2023 from the Leadership Institute.
