Kelsey Pagonis

Kelsey Pagonis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Kelsey began their professional career as a Program Assistant at the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University, where they handled travel scheduling and budgeting, as well as marketing initiatives.

Kelsey then served as a Career Services Graduate Intern at Trinity University and a Student Activities Graduate Intern at St. Edward's University. In these roles, they gained experience in organizing and coordinating campus-wide events and assisting with career services.

Continuing their career in marketing and communication, Kelsey worked as a Marketing & Assessment for Campus Activities at Texas State University. Kelsey managed event planning and marketing processes, developed assessments to gauge attendee satisfaction, and updated organizational web pages.

Kelsey then joined Cheyenne Mountain Zoo as a PR and Social Media Assistant Manager. Here, they posted on various social media platforms, increased followers using innovative content marketing strategies, and served as the primary community manager for the zoo's social media accounts.

Kelsey later joined the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City as an Associate Director of Communications/Content. In this role, they ensured consistent communication across the association, wrote social media posts and newsletters, and collaborated with executive directors and ambassadors.

At the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, Kelsey held three positions. Kelsey started as a Communications Manager, responsible for drafting speeches and coordinating media appearances. Kelsey then became the Director of Communications, where they grew the department and centralized the agency's communications infrastructure. Lastly, they served as the Director of the Project Management Office, overseeing project budgets and conducting continuous quality improvement cycles.

Currently, Kelsey holds the role of VP of Communications at the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City.

Kelsey Pagonis has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication from Texas A&M University. They also hold a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Student Counseling and Personnel Services from Texas State University.
