Kris Sanborn

Executive Director, Foster Care Services at YMCA of Greater Seattle

Kris Sanborn, LICSW has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Starting in 2002, Kris worked as a Wilderness Instructor II at CEDU Family of Services - ASCENT. They then moved on to RFK Children's Action Corps in 2003, where they served as a Residential Counselor & Adventure Specialist. In 2004, Kris joined Massasoit School, Inc as a Lead Special Education Teacher. Kris then transitioned to The Home for Little Wanderers in 2007, where they held the role of Clinical Social Worker/Clinical Coordinator. Kris's most recent employment has been with the YMCA of Greater Seattle, where they have held various positions including Clinical Supervisor II, Clinical Director, Senior Director, and currently as the Executive Director of Foster Care Services.

Kris Sanborn, LICSW holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Simmons University, which was completed from 2005 to 2007. Kris also possesses a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Outdoor Recreation: Leadership from Unity College, earned between 1999 and 2002. Additionally, Kris participated in a Semester in Alaska program at the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in 1999.
